Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has put forward a solo effort ‘Cruel, Cruel Word’ for the soundtrack of Red Dead Redemption 2.
It’s an acoustic ballad that puts the spotlight on Homme’s signature vocals, and was written by Daniel Lanois who produced the entire soundtrack.
Josh Homme isn’t the only QOTSA member to feature on the blockbuster game’s soundtrack, with drummer Jon Theodore also featuring. Other artists featured on the yet-to-be-released soundtrack include D’Angelo, Nas, Willie Nelson, José González and more.
Queens of the Stone Age actually just wrapped up a huge Australian tour, which included a charity show at Hobart’s MONA where they performed a stunning acoustic rendition of ‘The Way You Used To Do.’
