Aussie hip-hop heads, this is one for you. One Day, the Inner West Sydney hip-hop collective consisting of Horrorshow, Spit Syndicate, Joyride, and Jackie Onassis, have unveiled a brand new single titled Love Me Less, and it’s as smooth and lyrically deft as you’d expect from this lot.
The track had its premiere on Triple J early last week, prompting a surge of social media buzz. Readers can check out the track in all its glory below and revel in the interplay between some of the most familiar and beloved voices in Australia’s ever-expanding and acclaimed hip-hop scene. And according to the crew, fans ought to stay tuned for a “big announcement” dropping 30th June.
Founded in 2006, the crew write on their Facebook page that One Day is “built on personal history,” with its members having been friends since high school. Though each act is signed to a different label, they ride together under the One Day banner with a shared vision and unstoppable drive.
