Soccer Mommy has shared a new single today. ‘Kissing In The Rain’ comes as part of the new Dark Nights: Death Metal soundtrack.
It combines optimistic vocals with sparkly melancholy instrumentals and sounds absolutely stunning.
Soccer Mommy, real name Sophia Allison, sings, “Baby, it’s all right/ You can leave me for the night/ Oh, I know I’m more than you had bargained for/ Give it to me straight/ Are you going to make me break?/ Do you think I’m all you ever wanted to find?”
The single is part of the soundtrack for the new DC comic book series Dark Nights: Death Metal. It’s a mammoth soundtrack with a diverse sound.
Artists joining Soccer Mommy on the soundtrack include Rise Against, Mastodon, Manchester Orchestra, Denzel Curry, and IDLES.
The new single marks the first new release from Allison since 2020 album Color Theory.
