Listen To Sydney Metalcore Outfit Inertia Cover Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’

Sydney metalcore outfit, Inertia have brought us some nostalgic vibes this morning. They’ve served up a stellar cover of Justin Timberlake’s 2002 classic, ‘Cry Me A River’.

The vocals keep all that brilliant JT emotion from the original while the instrumentals turn it up a notch, with the percussions especially driving the cover.

Towards the end of the cover, the band drops a sick breakdown on us and vocalist Julian Latouche tears it TF up.

The band’s guitarist, Mark Williamson explains, “Coming into 2021, the pandemic put our plans of the next release on hold.

“After months of waiting we really wanted to scratch that itch, so we decided to do something fun and got to writing for this cover.”

The Sydney band shared their second EP, Connexion last year.

Have a listen to Inertia’s take on ‘Cry Me A River’ below.
