Watch The Live Stream Of Kanye West’s New Opera ‘Nebuchadnezzar’ Right Now

Hot off the heels of latest album Jesus Is King being released, Kanye West‘s first ever opera Nebuchadnezzar is premiering tonight at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. At the time of writing, fans are still waiting for the event to start, despite a publicised start time of 4 PM Pacific time (11 AM our time).

West collaborated with Italian artist and director Vanessa Beecroft for the opera, which is based on the biblical story of the Babylonian King from the Book of Daniel, the opera is currently being live-streamed by Tidal.

The opera is set to include West’s Sunday Service collective, along with Peter Collins and the group Infinity’s Song.

“West conceived of this opera as an expression of his commitment to both his faith and ever-expanding musical palette,” confirmed a statement about the opera released last week.

“Nebuchadnezzar brings together elements from different worlds, including opera, fine art, modern dance, and gospel music, to create an innovative performance structure. West’s sound is the bridge between these artforms.”
