The stellar line-up for Lollapalooza 2013 has been confirmed today after the details of Chicago’s favourite festival were leaked last week, and we still look set for The Cure and Nine Inch Nails to headline the 3-day event, which will also feature Mumford & Sons, New Order, Queens of the Stone Age and The Postal Service.
The full Lollapalooza line-up first appeared via an ad in a Red Bull Magazine a week and a half before the planned announcement and was then confirmed by The Chicago Tribune. Lollapalooza spokeswoman Shelby Meade declined to comment on the leak, but Lollapalooza officials still moved the official announcement forward by a week.
As always, the Lolla line-up is a nice indication of what we can expect to see Down Under at Big Day Out 2014, with both being handled by C3 Promotions, and it’s also likely to feature some of our Splendour in the Grass acts for 2013, with last year’s Lolla and Splendour both featuring At The Drive-In, Jack White and The Shins. The Cure, Nine Inch Nails and Mumford & Sons seem likely contenders, having already been rumoured.
Lollapalooza takes place 2nd-4th August in Chicago.
