London Grammar Announce Falls Festival 2013 Sideshows

The trio of Hannah Reid, Dot Major, and Dan Rothman, London Grammar have been turning heads and haunting listeners since the release of their debut single Hey Now. To celebrate the release of their debut LP, London Grammar have announced two very special shows for Sydney and Melbourne, to coincide with their slot at Falls Festival 2013.

Coming off much-lauded appearances at Glastonbury, Bestival and the xx’s self-curated Night + Day event, fans, newcomers and critics alike have been in awe of how a band that sold out their very first show at London’s Electrowerkz as recently as March of this year, displays such accomplishment on the stage. Since that first gig, the band have played 58 shows worldwide, charming crowds with their soaring, ethereal brand of indie pop.

Since the release of Hey Now, Wasting My Young Years and Strong, the trio have built a devoted following Down Under––If You Wait entered the ARIA charts at #2 and held a Top 5 spot for the following week. Their home base soon followed, with the album reaching #2 in their native England and Scotland.

To reward Aussie fans for their support, the band will be playing two East Coast shows in addition to their Falls appearance, kicking off at the Metro Theatre in Sydney, on Tuesday, 7th January, and concluding in Melbourne with a gig at St. Kilda’s Prince Bandroom. Start the year with what’s sure to be one of the most intimate and powerful gigs of 2014.
