All signs point to a new Kanye West album dropping imminently.
A listening party reportedly took place in Las Vegas over the weekend, with guests scoring their invites just hours before the event kicked off.
As News.com.au reports, Yeezy threw the bash to show off his forthcoming tenth album, DONDA — named after his late mother — at the city’s Christan ChurchLV.
A “source” told the news site that the rapper broke down in tears on stage after pressing play on a song he wrote about his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
The track, reportedly dubbed ‘Welcome to my Life’ is described by the gossip monger as “a very deep, sad song about Kanye, with him reflecting on his marriage with Kim. He talks about the kids and mentions her taking everything. After he played this song he paused for like, two minutes, and cried. It was really sombre.”
Internet personality Justin Laboy has since taken to social media, claiming to have heard the new record in Vegas, dubbing it “album of the year”.
“The production is light years ahead of it’s (sic) time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again,” Laboy wrote on Twitter.
“Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back #Respectfully”:
Kanye played his new album for me & @KDTrey5 last night in Vegas. Man listen! The production is light years ahead of it’s time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again. Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back ? #Respectfully

According to Rolling Stone, Ye has booked another listening party for DONDA in Atlanta this week, on July 22nd, with the LP rumoured to drop for the rest of us mere mortals as soon as this Friday.
However, since Kanye is notoriously fast-and-loose with release dates (fans have been waiting for DONDA since this time last year after all), we’ll choose remain quietly hopeful, without betting the house on it.
