UPDATE: Splendour In The Grass 2018 Sells Out, Resale Details Announced
ORIGINAL STORY: Singer-songwriter SZA and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr have appeared on an early iteration of the Splendour In The Grass 2018 lineup poster, which was created prior to the festival’s official lineup announcement this morning.
Despite not being included on this morning’s Splendour lineup, Marr and SZA’s names appear on a lineup poster which was shared (and later deleted) on Twitter this morning by The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr, who will be performing at Splendour this year.

Interestingly, neither Marr nor SZA’s names feature on the official lineup poster supplied to media today:

Hilltop Hoods’ name, which does appear on the official lineup, doesn’t appear on the poster shared by Hammond.
In a statement to Music Feeds, Splendour organisers shared this tongue-in-cheeck comment, “Fake news! We had offers out for a bunch of acts – Kanye, Beyonce, Radiohead, Bob Dylan and the ghost of Beethoven. Elon Musk would be good for the Forum too … one can only dream guys.”
Marr last performed in Australia during a trip down under for Splendour In The Grass 2015, when he also played a number of sideshows. SZA, meanwhile, was recently in the country for FOMO Festival 2018.
Splendour In The Grass will return to North Byron Parklands between Friday, 20th and Sunday, 22nd July. Peep all the official lineup and ticket details right here.
