Lorde Answers Vogue’s 73 Questions

Vogue’s iconic 73 Questions series has returned to the lauded fashion outlet’s Youtube channel, this time with Lorde as the interviewee.

The New Zealand artist answered a bunch of questions about her forthcoming record Solar Power, her two previous albums Pure Heroine and Melodrama, her life in New Zealand, performing live, and some more personal questions too.

Speaking on her synaesthesia, she attributed her debut Pure Heroine to the colour green, Melodrama to violet, and her upcoming album to the colour gold.

She said the first song to make her cry was ‘Perfect Day’ by Lou Reed. “I’d never felt anything like that before.”

She spoke about a number of artists throughout the interview. She said the first artist to leave her feeling “totally starstruck” was Taylor Swift.

Paul Simon‘s Graceland pops up a few times throughout the interview, with Lorde saying ‘Graceland’ and ‘Homeless’ are her top two picks from the record, with the singer admitting she wished she’d written the former.

Arcade Fire‘s Coachella show was a standout performance for Lorde. “I was in the crowd, and I’d never seen anything like it. It was incredible.”
