Lorde Rescheduled 2014 Australian Tour Dates Announced

After a month-long wait, New Zealand pop sensation Lorde has finally announced rescheduled tour dates for her April Australian tour, which was postponed shortly before the dates were set to kick off at Melbourne’s Festival Hall due to illness. Readers can check the new dates and details below.

In April, Lorde was coming off her breakthrough year and a recent appearance at Laneway Festival and fans were more excited than ever to see her live and solo, but an unfortunate statement released via tour promoter Frontier Touring’s Facebook page put the kibosh on those plans.

“Under doctor’s advice, Ella Yelich-O’Connor will return to New Zealand for immediate rest and recuperation in order to regain complete health and continue touring for the rest of the year,” it read. Fans now have a reason to get excited once again, with a new set of dates kicking off this July.

The new tour will commence at Challenge Stadium in Perth on Saturday, 5th July, before swooping over to Adelaide and then the East Coast for double-headers in Sydney and Melbourne, before two shows in Newcastle and Brisbane. The new dates were announced via the songstress’ Twitter page.

UPDATE 26/05/14 1:05pm AEST: Organisers for the tour have expanded on options for ticket holders who are unable to attend the newly announced dates. If this is you, you are able to get a refund from your point of purchase up until 5pm local time on Friday 6th June.

Those who are able to attend the new dates needn’t lift a finger — your tickets are still valid for new dates.
