Lost Paradise is back for its 6th annual New Years bash and it’s just dropped a mighty stacked lineup.
Headlining the 2019 instalment of the leafy Central Coast festival (which also bleeds into 2020) will be alternative dance crew Rüfüs Du Sol and hip-hop faves Hilltop Hoods, alongside an eclectic collection of local acts including (but definitely not limited to!) Golden Features, Matt Corby, The Jungle Giants, Methyl Ethel, The Veronicas, Dear Seattle, The Chats and Kwame.
While the Lost Disco and Paradise Club will also return to bring fans the best of house, techno, disco, bass and electronic goodness with a stacked bill including Chicago’s most unconventional house legend Green Velvet, homegrown star Dom Dolla, Glaswegian groover Denis Sulta and — as previously predicted — New York house and techno DJ Honey Dijon.
Lost Paradise is set to go down in the heart of the Central Coast’s outdoor adventure hub, Glenworth Valley, across five days and four nights this summer, running from Saturday 28th December to Wednesday, 1st January.
On top of the huge music lineup, there’ll also be an eclectic range of yoga, talks, workshops, healing arts and Indigenous experiences on offer, as well as a tasty selection of restaurants and food trucks.
Lost Paradise also offers a host of camping options, from renta-tents to decadent luxury glamping.
Last year, a 22-year-old man from Brisbane tragically died after taking an unknown substance at the festival, triggering the event to be flagged on the NSW Government’s new “high risk” festival sh*t list and subjected to its harsh and confusing new licensing regulations.
We guess time will tell how the new rules will affect Lost Paradise in 2019, but in the meantime, organisers have announced that DanceWize, a NUAA program funded by the NSW Ministry of Health to educate people on the implications of drug use, will offer peer support and health resources across the festival site.
