Macklemore has announced that he’s heading back to Australia in 2018 for a full-scale headline tour.
The American rapper performed at the NRL Grand Final last weekend, promoting same-sex marriage with his equality anthem ‘Same Love’, but he’ll return to play some huge all-ages shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in February.
The tour comes off the back of his most recent album GEMINI, which features tracks like ‘Glorious’ and ‘Good Old Days’. It’s his first solo effort in 12 years, as his previous few albums have been in collaboration with producer Ryan Lewis.
The pair toured here together in 2016 after the release of their record This Unruly Mess I’ve Mad. Despite Macklemore’s 2018 Aussie jaunt being a solo tour, his performance at the NRL Grand Final included songs from his projects with Lewis, suggesting he’ll still perform them on tour.
