Major Lazer Share Snippet Of New Collaboration With Lorde

We all might still be taking in the enormity of Lorde‘s 2017 album Melodrama, but we might be hearing a new side to the star sooner than we thought care of a Major Lazer collab.

A brand new track with a Lorde feature was previewed by Major Lazer leader Diplo on his own Beats 1 show Lazer Sound.

The track, which also features Jamaican Vybz Karlel, is a complete departure from Lorde’s album and gives off some serious slow-burning reggae vibes typical of Major Lazer’s style.

It certainly wouldn’t surprise if Lorde’s next album represented an even bigger move from the sound that formed Melodrama, with the kiwi artist mentioning a few months back when she said her next LP would “explore new worlds.”

Lorde will touch down in Australia this November for her headline tour, while she’s also set to perform at Canberra festival Spilt Milk.
