Marilyn Manson is continuing to flaunt his penchant for delivering unsettling and menacing covers, today unveiling a haunting rendition of The Door’s 1967 classic, ‘The End’.
Ominous, lo-fi and characteristically dark, Manson’s take on The Doors’ 8 minute epic from The Doors was produced by outlaw country icon Shooter Jennings and was initially recorded for a TV adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand, which Manson is set to star in.
Last month, Manson released his goth-country take on an outlaw folk classic, ‘God’s Gonna Cut You Down’.
Manson also recently performed a six-song mini-set at Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD Festival, alongside a lineup that included the likes of Rosalia, Young Thug, Megan Thee Stallion, Migos and more. Videos from the set show a moshpit breaking out during Manson’s cover of Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)’.
