Marilyn Manson’s Home Has Been Raided By LA County Sheriff’s Department

Marilyn Manson‘s home in West Hollywood was raided by the LA County Sheriff’s Department on Monday.

TMZ reports that detectives from the Special Victims Unit, who are currently leading the ongoing sexual assault investigation into Manson, slapped him with the search warrant on Monday morning. He was not home at the time of the search, according to the outlet.

Manson is currently facing multiple lawsuits in relation to sexual assault and abuse. Actors Evan Rachel Wood and Esme Bianco are among his accusers.

The search was confirmed by the LA County Sheriff’s office to Rolling Stone earlier today, where the representative confirmed the search was in relation to “his belongings,” which included hard drives and other external storage devices.

Last week, news broke of Manson’s Grammy nomination, which was only possible due to his inclusion in Kanye West’s album Donda.

Many were quick to criticise the Recording Academy’s decision to include Manson with the multiple investigations  currently hanging over him.

The Academy’s CEO Harvey Mason Jr. defended the Grammy’s voting process saying they do not take any artist’s personal history into consideration when going through the nominations process.

“We won’t look back at people’s history, we won’t look at their criminal record, we won’t look at anything other than the legality within our rules of, is this recording for this work eligible based on date and other criteria. If it is, they can submit for consideration.”
