Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker‘s Summer Breaking and Daffodils are over a year old now, but Ronson has finally decided to give them the video treatment, rolling them into one.
The summery video was directed by Theo Wenner who has shot videos for the likes of Adele, Grimes and Kim Kardashian recently. He also photographed model Sarah McDaniel on the first non-nude issue of Playboy and as it happens, she appears as the main character in this here video.
The video loosely follows her meeting a boy and moving from day to night in exotic locations. It’s not the storyline that will grip you though, it’s the beautiful locations
“It came about in a very abstract way,” Wenner told Rolling Stone about the clip.
“We had long conversations just about colour and times of day. I had it in my head the whole time that we should set it in the tropics. That’s the place, those are the colours that I pictured listening to the two songs.”
Ronson further said that Summer Breaking is his favourite song from his 2015 record Uptown Special which also produced the worldwide smash Uptown Funk.
He also told Rolling Stone that, “Kevin and Tame Impala are so hot right now, we thought we could really make the most of this ‘hotness’ by making a video.”
This video might just make Parker even hotter.
