UPDATE: Harvest Festival 2013 has been officially cancelled. More details here.
Trip hop legends Massive Attack will have an extra special guest vocalist performing with them at their Harvest Festival shows this November, with the event’s promoter AJ Maddah broadcasting the news to fans via his Twitter account.
Maddah was asked if Neneh Cherry would be performing at Harvest by a fan, after the singer-songwriter’s name was included on promotional material that aired on Channel [V] (below). In his usual helpful fashion, Maddah cleared up the situation, tweeting, “She was going to do some vocals w Massive Attack but now we have someone ever so special doing it… :)”
He has since ruled out Bjork as a contender, but we’re letting our imaginations run wild – Tricky? What about Beth Orton? We already know there’s gonna be gold in the second lineup announce for the festival, with Justin Vernon confirming that his band Volcano Choir will be part of the bill. We’ll keep you posted as more news comes to hand.
