Much-loved American soft-rockers Matchbox Twenty will play stadiums and a winery in October and November as part of their first Australian tour since 2008.
The tour is to promote their brand new album North, which is out next month and has spawned the big radio hit, She’s So Mean.
North is Machbox Twenty’s first full album since they released More Than You Think You Are in 2002. They released an EP’s worth of new songs with their greatest hits compilation Exile on Mainstream in 2007, which was bookended by two solo albums from frontman Rob Thomas.
And, they’ve enlisted a pretty huge support act for their tour as well – legendary Australian rockers INXS. With new frontman Ciaran Gribbin on board, the band will perform a greatest hits set with some choice inclusions from their landmark album Kick, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
Tickets go on sale August 31 through Live Nation.
