In case you missed it, Tool‘s new album Fear Inoculum hit the top spot on the Billboard 200, dethroning Taylor Swift‘s Lover after she held just one week at #1 – which is unusually brief for her.
Now, clearly unaware of just how intense Swift’s fans are, Maynard James Keenan has posted a meme on social media that has truly enraged the Swifties worldwide.

He captioned the post ‘Heh’ before putting in hashtags like ‘#comedyfirstandalways’ and ‘#lightenuporjogon’. He even went as far as to tag Swift in the meme.
It only takes a brief look at the replies to see that the Swifties are pissed at the gag to say the very least.
“Wait i just found out this clown is actually the lead singer of Tool band. Really men pushing 70 having no dignity, dissing their superiors in the game? You are happy about dethroning her when your entire discography combined was outsold by her album 1989 LMFAO,” one user wrote.
“Wait a minute ! Who are you ? You are going to free fall next week. Your fans are locals,” said another, believing that Keenan actually cares.
Tool also holds the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart, with Swift sitting firmly at #2.
