A tweet appeared today on The Herd‘s Twitter account informing readers that Ozi Batla, one of the group’s MCs, is in hospital after a freak bike accident on Christmas Eve. The post which reads “Our man @ozibatla is in hospital for a week with a punctured bladder, dislocated jaw and teeth missing. Freak bike accident xmas eve!” went up today and so far we have no more information as to the rapper’s condition.
Having gone from strength to strength this year, releasing his solo album Wild Colonial as well as The Herd’s latest album Future Shade, not to mention features and collabs with other artists, our thoughts go out to him and his family.
The Herd have confirmed that all their New Year’s Eve shows will still go ahead:
