Meet The Four Finalists For The 2016 Melbourne Music Bank Competition

UPDATE 27/10/16: Bank Of Melbourne have announced the winner of this year’s Melbourne Music Bank competition.

ORIGINAL STORY: The people of Victoria have spoken. After being presented with a shortlist of 12 potential finalists for this year’s Melbourne Music Bank competition, they’ve selected the final four contestants who are still in the running to take out pole position in the Bank Of Melbourne competition.

The finalists include solo songbird and Lake Gardens resident Anna Oliphant Wright, Caulfield rockers Birdhouse, Coldplay-esque party starters Tempus Sun and McCrae shapeshifter Bloom. These four will perform at Arts Centre Melbourne’s beloved Hamer Hall on 25th October, where the winner will be announced. A panel of experts will do the honours and reveal that final champion.

Jac Phillips, Bank of Melbourne’s Head of Brand and Marketing, says of the finalists, “We’re thrilled with the caliber of our 4 finalists – the public certainly got it right! We can’t wait to see them rock the Hamer Hall stage at the finale.”

This is now the fourth year Bank Of Melbourne has given back to Victoria’s creative community. The winner stands to score a slew of sweet industry hook-ups including studio time and mixing/mastering work, concept design and production help with two video clips, media training, PR services and (arguably the cherry on top) an east coast tour with a slot on this year’s Beyond The Valley festival.
