Melbourne Has A New LGBTQI+ Inclusive Mini-Festival Called All Sorts

Melbourne is copping a new LGBTQI+ inclusive mini-festival called All Sorts, thanks to local rave POOF DOOF and the team at Untitled Group (the company behind events like Beyond The Valley, Pitch Music & Arts Festival and Ability Fest).

All Sorts will be headlined by American DJ Seth Troxler when it debuts at Riva in St Kilda on Sunday, 27th January, and it’s billed as “a place where gender, sexuality, ethnicity, culture, religion and every other box you’ve ever been forced to tick is irrelevant”.

Buoyed by POOF DOOF’s recent stage takeover at Beyond The Valley, organisers are also promising sets from ‘Show Me Love’ hitmaker Robin S and Aussie DJs like Ministry of Sound’s John Course, Sydney’s Sveta, POOF DOOF residents Argonaut, Casey Leaver, Gay Roberto and Ben Renna.

Organisers have also said to expect “a curated collection of Australia’s most iconic LGBTQI+ performers”, including cabaret crew Yummy, drag artist ‘Art Simone’ and non-binary performance hybrid ‘Dandrogyny’.

“After seven years it’s a huge thrill to be bringing for the first time, the very best of what we do into the daylight of Melbourne’s summer,” says POOF DOOF owner Anthony Hocking.

“For those who have partied around the planet at the likes of Milkshake Festival, we’re bringing a global all inclusive vibe to the local scene.”
