Melbourne Zoo has unveiled the long list of acts who will be performing as part of its series of Twilights concerts in 2016, including the likes of indie-pop outfit San Cisco, Perth rockers Birds Of Tokyo and roots outfit John Butler Trio.
Other acts featured on the eclectic 2016 Melbourne Zoo Twilights program include Jebediah, The Waifs, Swedish indie folk artist José González, country singer Kasey Chambers, blues singer-songwriter C.W. Stoneking and ABBA parody group Björn Again. Catch the full lineup and the string of support acts, below.
This year’s Melbourne Zoo Twilights concerts featured performances from the likes of Paul Kelly, Powderfinger’s Bernard Fanning, Sarah Blasko, Dan Sultan, Connor Oberst and The Cat Empire.
Next year’s run of gigs will include 14 all-ages shows between Friday, 29th January and Saturday, 12th March, with all proceeds going towards fighting the extinction of the Eastern Barred Bandicoot.
Tickets to all shows include full access to Melbourne Zoo before the show kicks off, giving punters the chance to rock up early for a quick wander among the local residents.
All Twilights shows are fully licensed, with food, drinks and desserts available for purchase. Ticket holders can bring their own picnic, but BYO alcohol and glass aren’t permitted. Food hampers can also be pre-ordered when purchasing tickets.
