Members of Brisbane band Flanelette killed in car crash

Three members of Brisabane band Flanelette have been killed as a result of a tragic car accident over the weekend, their car being rear-ended by a semi-trailer while driving back home on the Pacific Highway from a show in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Having played a show at The Beenleigh Tavern on the Gold Coast on Friday night, competing in the semi-finals of Loud Fest, the band’s car crashed around 2:45am on Saturday morning. Two men aged 23 and 24 and a woman aged 33 have been confirmed by Police as having died because of the accident, the men dying at the scene and the woman succumbing to her injuries after being taken to nearby Prince Alexandra Hospital. Another man aged 27, who was driving the vehicle, survived and has been taken to Logan Hospital for the treatment of non life threatening injuries.

Police have yet to release the names of those involved, but our hearts go out to all the relatives and friends of the victims of this unfortunate tragedy.
