The Meredith Music Festival 2015 sideshows are flooding in. Father John Misty, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Neon Indian and Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats have all already announced sideshows and now we have a few more to add to that.
Alternative darling Julia Holter will be performing a few extra dates with a new Have You In My Wilderness to show-off as will LA throwback singer Jessica Pratt who released her sophomore LP On Your Own Love Again in January. US alt-rocker Mercury Rev have also announced extra dates for their first Australian shows in over a decade while Nashville band Bully will make their debut appearance in Australia.
Check out all the latest sideshow news at our dedicated Meredith 2015 Sideshows feed.
Julia Holter
With three albums already released and a fourth on the way Julia Holter has become one of the most critically-acclaimed artists around right now. She recorded her first two LPs Tragedy and Ekstasis in her bedroom, however, moved to working with other musicians for 2013’s Loud City Song. Her fourth due for release in September sees her once again expanding the scope of her sound as evidenced by first single Feel You.
She’s just announced she’ll bring her quaint, oddball style of orchestral-pop to Australian audiences in December playing in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane from 9th December.

Jessica Pratt
California folk artist Jessica Pratt released one of 2012’s best debuts and followed it up this year with her stunning sophomore effort On Your Own Love Again. The LP was recorded over two years at her home and was mixed by Will Canzoneri of LA pysch band Darker My Love.
She’ll be playing some very intimate Meredith sideshows while in Australia with her guitarist Cyrus Gengras. If the tracks carry as much weight live as they do on the records, she’ll be an absolute knockout.

Mercury Rev
It’s been a long time in between drinks for US group Mercury Rev but they’re finally returning to Australia for the first time in over a decade. They come armed with a new album The Light In You due for release 18th September. It’s their first record since 2008 and comes almost 25 years into their career.
The duo will be heading along the east coast with special guest DJ James Dela Cruz of The Avalanches opening in Sydney and Melbourne and Primitive Motion supporting in Brisbane.

Bully
Nashville four-piece Bully have had some serious hype surrounding them this year. The fuzzy-rock rock group released their excellent debut record Feels Like and were on the tip of many-a-tongue following their performances at SXSW in Texas earlier this year.
They’re coming to Australia off the back of a huge performance at Lollapalooza and a big US tour but will hopefully still be all guns blazing for their Meredith slot and shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
