Well it would seem as though last week’s Meredith leak was quite a way off the mark. Animal Collective and Jarvis Cocker have made it over from fantasy to reality as has Why? Kitty Daisy & Lewis, The Oh Sees, Tim Sweeney, Paul Kelly, Patrick Wolf and Combo La Revelacion.
The new additions that have us hot under the collar are Akron/Family, Pharoahe Monch, Eddy Current Suppression Ring and Tumbleweed.
Also Royal Crown Revue are playing. These are some seriously smooth swinging cats that wrote Hey Pachucho, the song from Jim Carey and Cameron Diaz’s epic dance scene in The Mask. These guys will be the standout in my opinion.
While the prospect of finally seeing Why? may have induced a painful four hour erection this morning, the rest of the line-up seems a little lackluster considering the history of the festival’s illustrious line-ups.
Whichever way you look at it though, it’s definitely worth the trip, besides can you think of anywhere more perfect to see Animal Collective than the Supernatural Amphitheater?
