Metal legends Metallica will perform with pop star Lady Gaga at the 2017 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles this weekend.
Earlier this week, a Lady Gaga fan site tweeted a snippet of a Grammy promo video (below) which noted that Gaga would take part in a “duet” with Metallica, and Rolling Stone has since confirmed the collaboration.
It isn’t known what Metallica and Gaga will be performing, but last time Metallica performed at the ceremony in 2014, they played their classic track ‘One’ with classical pianist Lang Lang.
Metallica’s recent single ‘Hardwired’ is nominated for Best Rock Song at this year’s Grammys, up against the likes of Radiohead, David Bowie and Twenty One Pilots. Gaga isn’t up for any awards, as her latest album Joanne was released after the 2016 deadline.
This year’s Grammy Awards will also feature performances from Alicia Keys and Maren Morris; The Weekend and Daft Punk; and A Tribe Called Quest with Anderson .Paak.
