Canadian indie band Metric have announced sideshow tour dates on the back of their appearance on the Splendour in the Grass 2012 linuep; they’ll be playing three shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and yes, even Perth are lucky enough to get a show. Update 19/06/2012: Perth show cancelled.
Yesterday we got a large list of other band’s sideshows, as well as Jack White and The Shins also announcing their shows early last week.
Their anticipated fifth studio album Synthetica, which is due out on June 15, has been mixed by long-time Metric collaborator and Grammy-nominated indie-rock specialist John O’Mahony at New York’s famed Electric Lady Studios. Guitarist Jimmy Shaw describes Synthetica as “the sonic culmination of everything we have done”.
