Indie-psych duo MGMT are giving a lucky ticket-holder in each of the Falls Festival 2013/2014 locations to perform on stage with the band and their famously spectacular visual set-up, when they play their single Your Life Is a Lie from their self-titled third album, released back in September.
The winner in each location will be called upon to helm “a monstrously huge cowbell that looks like it would be more at home hanging round the neck of Godzilla,” by attacking it with a giant drumstick, accenting every 4/4 bar of Your Life Is A Lie (see the video below) with a resounding, God-like ting.
To win, punters need to participate in the fancy dress delights of Boogie Nights––the first night of each Falls event. This year’s theme is ‘Intergalactic’ and there will be a Best Dressed competition on each of Falls’ opening nights, with the winner appearing on stage in the main arena with MGMT.
