Miami Horror have announced their long-awaited return with new single Wild Motion (Set It Free) and a national tour that kicks off this September. Having recently set up camp in Los Angeles, the Melbourne electro-pop darlings will return for gigs that will see them travelling around the country.
After establishing their presence in LA, the five-piece started channeling the inspiration sparked by the glowing, year-round California sunshine through their home studio and into the singles Real Slow and Colours in the Sky, which saw their way into the hands of fans over the summer of 2013/2014.
The band’s latest release, the shimmering Wild Motion (Set It Free), has been described by band member and producer Benjamin Plant as “a love child of Talking Heads, Paul Simon, and some sort of lost ’80s Australian anthem, while lyrically it ponders when is it time to set something free.”
The new single and tour dates come ahead of the group’s highly anticipated second album, which is slated for release later this year. Readers can check below for all the dates and ticketing details of Miami Horror’s September national tour, for which they’ll be joined by pals Thief and Tora.
