One of Australia’s most remote music festivals — the Birdsville Big Red Bash, set in the sands of the Simpson Desert — has announced its three headline acts for 2019.
The seventh annual edition of the rural Queensland festival will host Aussie rockers Midnight Oil in July 2019, marking the band’s first Australian show since their 2017 ‘Great Circle World Tour’.
The Big Red Bash will also be the Oils’ first Australian music festival headline set since they played the Woodford Folk Festival back in 1996.
Homegrown punks The Living End and recent ARIA Hall Of Fame inductee Kasey Chambers will also perform at the 2019 Big Red Bash, as will 13 other Australian acts, who will be announced on 18th December.
Around 9,000 people are expected to attend the 2019 Big Red Bash. Catch all of the confirmed acts, festival dates and ticketing details, below.
