It appears that Bluesfest has gone completely rogue for its 2017 instalment. Off the back of seven lineup announcements, organisers have now dished out another hefty dosage of festival sideshow action.
The dosage includes headline shows from Miles Electric Band, and the small crowd of world-class musicians that make it up. The troupe will be performing choice cuts from culturally significant albums such as Bitches Brew, Jack Johnson and On the Corner.
Serial Bluesfest performers Nahko And Medicine For The People will also be sidetracking from their festival commitments to partake in headline shows for Melbourne and Sydney, bringing with them their third studio album Hoka.
Another repeat offender Rhiannon Giddens is now confirmed for sideshows, where the Grammy-award winner will be performing jams from her recent solo album, and also her work with Carolina Chocolate Drops.
Max Jury will be keeping his extra-curricular activities short and sweet with just one show outside of the festival. LA outfit The Record Company will be unleashing their Americana rock n’ roll throughout Sydney and Melbourne with the chanting Trevor Hall casting his spell over the same cities, and capping off the new sideshow announcement.
