American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus has finally received the recognition she deserves at the 66th Grammy Awards. The 31-year-old artist clinched her first-ever Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance with her chart-topping hit, ‘Flowers’, the lead track from her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation.
The moment was made special as the legendary singer Mariah Carey presented the award to Miley Cyrus. The ‘Flowers’ singer expressed her admiration for Mariah during her speech, “This M.C. is gonna stand by this M.C. for this because this is just too iconic,” She said.

Miley Cyrus went on to secure her second Grammy of the night for Record of the Year, for the same track ‘Flowers.’ In her second award acceptance speech, she revealed the challenges faced before arriving at the award function. “Oh my God, I just got stuck in the rain in traffic and thought I was going to miss this moment’. She said.”And I could’ve missed the award, but not Mariah Carey.”
The singer received a total of six Grammy nominations this year, including Best Album and Best Pop Vocal Album for Endless Summer Vacation, three nods for ‘Flowers’ (Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance), and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her ‘Thousand Miles’ collaboration with Brandi Carlile.

The Grammy award comes as a long-awaited surprise for her, as Miley won her first Grammy after being active in the Industry for the last 18 years. since she released her first song on April 4, 2006, titled ‘Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.’
