More Aussie Acts Join Supersized Overseas Lineups

Australia leads the world in the export of at least three things – coal, live cattle, and shit hot indie musicians. Proving the latter fact, a handful of Aussie acts have just been added to a pair of the world’s biggest music festivals, Bonnaroo and Festival d’été de Québec.

The juggernaut lineup for Bonnaroo 2015 already features a slew of Aussie talent, including Courtney Barnett, Flume, DMA’s and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. But the latest round of inclusions for the Club Stages also has Sydney folksters Little May and NSW-bred, NY-livin’ Betty Who heading to the Tennessee farm.

They’ve been added to an already supersized bill topped by an eclectic ensemble of musicians, including Mumford and Sons, Kendrick Lamar, deadmau5, Florence & The Machine and Billy Joel.

Meanwhile, the first announcement for the annual Festival d’été de Québec also dropped today, and it’s so mammoth that if it was an actual mammoth it would be big enough to squish Godzilla with a single hoof. The Quebec City event will be headlined by a godly rock trio of Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters and Deep Purple.

But there’s also a three-way Aussie combo featured in the festival’s first announcement, including Riptide tunesmith Vance Joy, Melbourne bluesman Hamish Anderson and, uh, Iggy Azalea (you know, if you think she counts).

Bloody rippers, the lot. Onyaz.
