Independent ticketing provider Moshtix have released their new mobile ticket scanning app, smartScan, which uses the camera on smartphones to scan tickets. The app allows for multiple mobile devices to be used simultaneously across different entry points, meaning shorter lines and less hassle getting into gigs.
The app will also allow event organisers to leave ticket sales open after the event has already begun. Moshtix managing director and owner Harley Evans said, “We’re excited to be offering this functionality to our client’s right before the busy summer season. The simplicity and scalability of mobile scanning will provide our clients with flexibility for staffing and event access, as well as enabling last minute ticket purchases to maximise sales”.
The mobile app is another technological product release from Moshtix in recent months. They’ve also developed an integrated Facebook app that allows event organisers to sell tickets directly through their own Facebook page. As well as moshMailer, an email tool that offers clients a free email platform with audience targeting analytics.
Said Evans, “Our focus continues to be on delivering relevant innovation to connect fans to artists. It’s about providing our clients with the tools they need to support their business, and giving customers a great experience that drives ticket sales and feeds their appetite to attend live events”.
The smartScan app is currently available on Google Play and will be available shortly through iTunes.
