Mötley Cruë’s Vince Neil In Hospital After Falling Off Stage Mid-Performance

Mötley Cruë frontman Vince Neil has landed himself in hospital with a few broken ribs after falling off the stage during a performance.

The incident occurred on Friday night while Neil’s solo band were performing at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He fell during the fifth song of the night, which was ‘Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)’.

A fan in the crowd has caught the unfortunate incident on tape, and has uploaded it to Youtube. In the short clip, Neil walks forward on the stage with his guitar hanging low, while he encourages the crowd to clap along. He does so for a few moments, before losing his balance and falling from the stage.

As reported by Ultimate Guitar, bassist Dana Strum addressed the crowd after Neil’s fall.

“The truth is – Vince fell and broke ribs when he fell. He can’t breathe and he’s gonna get dealt with medically.

“He was so excited to be here. He lives in Tennessee. But he was willing to stick it out and tough it out when the people back here were telling him, ‘Don’t do it.’

“Let’s have one good round of applause, please, for this guy.”

Eddie Trunk later gave an update on Neil’s status via Twitter, writing that the frontman “had been moving & singing great before the accident.”

“He’s at hospital now getting care & X Rays. More when I hear. Get well VN!”
