Just two weeks out from the event, Mountain Sounds Festival has reduced its stages and lineup due to ‘a combination of licensing and security costs’.
Organisers of the Central Coast event, that takes place in the surrounds of the Mount Penang Gardens on February 15th and 16th, have reconfigured two stages.
In a statement, Mountain Sounds Festival said, “We have recently had to look at measures across the board to continue moving forward with the event, whilst still maintaining the highest safety standards and ensuring the quality of the festival experience for patrons and artists aren’t compromised.
“However, due to current increased pressure around safety, licensing and security we have had to modify our site, staging and infrastructure so the event can go ahead.”
The modification has resulted in artists like Stella Donnelly, Moaning Lisa, and Dumb Punts have being removed from the lineup — see all removed artists down below as well as the rejigged set times.
Organisers say that while the change is unfortunate, it means the festival can continue this year and for years to come.
“We’re extremely apologetic to both artists and fans this will directly effect [sic] and want to make it known this is something we did not wish to do,” they said.
