The first artist lineup for Mountain Sounds Festival 2015 has officially dropped, and is led by DZ Deathrays, The Jungle Giants, The Kite String Tangle, Northeast Party House, Safia and The Griswolds. Returning in February 2015 after a successful inaugural event this year, Mountain Sounds’ lineup already looks promising, and more acts are still to be added.
Also included on the festival’s 2015 bill are psych-rock mystery man Daniel Lee Kendall, Sydney beat-maker Kilter, up-and-comer Tkay Maidza and Victoria’s D.D Dumbo, amongst others. Check out the first artist lineup in full, below. The second lineup announcement will drop in early December.
Mountain Sounds Festival 2015 will again be held in Mount Penang Parklands in Kariong, NSW. Festival-goers will be able to immerse themselves not only in the music, but also in their surroundings, with options for camping on both nights, with campsite parties, silent discos and more.
Festival organisers are also running a state-wide competition to give one band and one electronic act the chance to open the festival’s main stage in 2015. Public voting will help decide who gets the opportunity, so for more details head to the Mountain Sounds Festival competition site.
