MTV is celebrating Aus Music month this year by launching a special pop-up channel playing 100% organic, grain-fed Aussie music round the clock.
From Monday, 1st November, Club MTV will rebrand to Aus MTV, paying tribute to local artists of the past, present and future for the whole bloody month.
The 24/7 programming will be jam-packed with countdowns, interviews and behind-the-scenes specials with local allstars like Vera Blue, KLP, Travis Collins and Polish Club lead vocalist David Novak tag-teaming hosting duties.
“Following a tough year for the entire industry, MTV is seeking to provide tangible benefits to artists by spotlighting some of the quirky merchandise you can purchase direct from our homegrown talent,” the channel said in a statement.
“In a series of infomercials hosted by Polish Club’s David Novak, merch from the likes of Tones and I, Amy Shark, G Flip, Baker Boy, Jack River, Client Liaison, The Rubens, Ocean Alley, Violent Soho, Ruel, The Wolfe Brothers, Young Franco, Cub Sport, Ngaiire, Jasmine Rae, Fanny Lumsden, Polish Club and Daryl Braithwaite will all be showcased.”
In honour of the occasion, MTV is also partnering with Support Act for their annual Aus Music T-Shirt Day, which is back in action on Friday, 19th November, raising funds to help Australian artists in crisis.
