The annual four-day artistic gumbo that is the Mullum Music Festival has lifted the skirt on its 2015 festivities, revealing a bill of over 80 national and international acts from the music world and beyond.
This year’s event will be headlined by Canadian troubadour Ron Sexsmith, with performances by an eclectic array of international acts, including singer songwriter Ben Ottewell from UK indie rock band Gomez, contemporary pianist Hauschka from Germany, American R&B/funk/Southern soul vibers The California Honeydrops, and too many more to name.
There’s also plenty of homegrown acts to get excited about, including Harry James Angus of The Cat Empire, We Two Thieves, Tinpan Orange, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, All Our Exes Live in Texas, Montaigne and, again, too many more to name.
And that’s not all, there’s also a selection of the finest dance, comedy, theatre, choral and street acts in town, to add to Australia’s biggest little festival’s smorgasbord of cultural delights.
Now in its eighth year, the annual Mullum Music Festival takes place in the halls, pubs, churches and streets of the NSW coastal town of Mullumbimby (Iggy Azelea’s hometown), 15 minutes north of Byron Bay.
