Muse Share New Track ‘Mercy’ Alongside Lyric Video

In good news for Muse fans who like their Muse songs extra-Musey, the most Muse band around, Muse, have released a new Muse single Mercy, from the upcoming Muse album Drones and, guess what, it’s super Musey.

The new track kicks things off with frontman Matt Bellamy gently moaning whilst guitar licks and piano chords build and build and then, holy shit, it gets even louder and faster and Bellamy starts really belting out that moan and oh man. SO. MUSE.

Speaking earlier about the new album, Bellamy says, “This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.” So that’s a thing.

Mercy is the third release off Muse’s forthcoming seventh album, following on from Dead Inside, which was released back in March, and Psycho before it. Drones is set to drop June 5th.
