Post-rockers sleepmakeswaves returned with their second studio album love of cartography in July, and are set to perform for Music Feeds LIVE this Tuesday, 12th August. Backed by a plethora of new tracks, the Sydney instrumentalists are sure to be just as impressive at Music Feeds Studio as they have been whilst touring with acts like Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus.
The last time sleepmakeswaves performed for Music Feeds LIVE, it was an unplugged affair, and this time around will be no different, allowing the band to play their new material acoustically.
sleepmakeswaves’ love of cartography follows the band’s 2011 debut …and so we destroyed everything, which was given the full remix treatment in 2013 with …and then they remixed everything thanks to eclectic contributions from 65daysofstatic, Rosetta, Kyson and more.
love of cartography was partially financed through a successful Pozible crowd-funding campaign which raised over $30,000, and allowed sleepmakeswaves to begin recording with producer Nick DiDia at Studios 301 in Byron Bay. The band are now preparing to close out their 2014 love of cartography Australian tour at Sydney’s Manning Bar on Saturday, 16th August.
