In June 2012 Brisbane singer-songwriter Thomas Calder transformed his bourgeoning solo career piecing together a 5-piece band and immediately getting to work with the new dynamic titled The Trouble With Templeton. That same year the band took part in Bigsound, CMJ and Harvest Festival as well as opening for acts such as Julia Stone, Of Monsters & Men, Husky and Father John Misty. Fortuitously band were also announced as one of triple j’s “Next Crop” artists for 2013.
Predictably enough The Trouble With Templeton have been enjoying a stellar 2013 seeing them perform at the mother of all creative conferences SXSW as well as releasing their second full-length studio album, Rookie, earlier this month. The band are currently on the road as part of their headlining Rookie Album Tour, which is taking them right across the country over August.
