My Chemical Romance‘s first live show since 2012 took just minutes to sell out.
The band announced just days ago that they were getting back together to perform live in LA this December, and with the show (predictably) selling out almost immediately, MCR took to social media to thank their fans.
“It is truly unbelievable to us the happiness we have experienced over the past two days,” said the band.
Their comeback show triggered a mass outpouring of support across various social platforms.
After an end note in 2013 from Gerard Way that seemed pretty damn definitive, the band admitted they didn’t expect such a strong reaction to the reunion announcement.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the warm welcome back. We truly did not expect this. See you soon. Xoxo, MCR.”
My Chemical Romance may not have expected things to go like this, but fans waiting seven years for the legendary band to (maybe) return clearly haven’t missed a beat.
The band will surely be looking at doing additional shows given the feedback, but until they all we can do is wait, hope, and listen to old classics.
