Critically acclaimed documentary on Aussie women in music, Her Sound, Her Story, is finally about to grace cinemas across the nation.
After its world premiere as part of the Human Rights Arts and Film festival earlier this year , the gamechanging film is now heading out on a full tour, hitting screens in selected Aussie cities for one night only.
Written and produced by filmmaker Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore and photographer Michelle Grace Hunder, the 73-minute doco will be aired in movie theatres across Alice Springs, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Sydney & Melbourne this month, with dates coming soon for Cairns, Perth, Tasmania and Castlemaine.
Featuring over 40 women from across an incredible five decades of Aussie music, from Kylie Minogue, Tina Arena and Katie Noonan and to Sampa The Great, Montaigne and Vera Blue, Her Sound, Her Story sees these amazing artists celebrating all of their achievements, while speaking frankly about the hurdles they’ve had to overcome because of their gender.
