Neil Finn, Jimmy Barnes, Montaigne & More To Perform At Music In The House 2017

The likes of Neil Finn, Jimmy Barnes and Montaigne have been announced as performers for annual fundraising event Music In The House, run by music industry charity Support Act.

Held in Sydney’s Ivy Ballroom this May, the 2017 Music In The House event will see a host of musos perform in honour of musician and humanitarian Jenny Morris OAM, who will be presented with Support Act’s Excellence In The Community Award at this year’s ceremony.

Aside from the previously named musos, artists Diesel and Shanley Del will also perform tributes to Morris on the day, which will be hosted by Rachel Ward. All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards Support Act’s work with artists and music workers in crisis.

Previous recipients of the Excellence In The Community Award have included the likes of Paul Kelly, John Butler, The Sapphires and John Paul Young.

Morris, who was born in New Zealand, first performed in The Wide Mouthed Frogs, before joining The Crocodiles in 1980. She later undertook a solo career, and sung the title track for the film Puberty Blues before going on to tour with the likes of Prince, INXS and Paul McCartney.

Morris has been a World Vision ambassador in Kenya, performed for Aussie troops overseas and raised thousands of dollars for the music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins.

Music In The House 2017 will take place on Wednesday, 17th May. For ticket details, see below.
