Yet another documentary surrounding Britney Spears and the controversial conservatorship she’s bound to, is coming to fruition – this one being produced by Netflix.
Titled Britney Vs. Spears, the streaming giant shared a teaser for the upcoming documentary earlier today. The official trailer for the documentary is expected to land officially sometime today on Wednesday, 22nd September.
In the 18-second teaser clip, a recorded phone message that Britney left to an attorney in 2009 plays.
“Hi, my name is Britney Spears,” she says in the trailer. “I called you earlier. I’m calling again because I just wanted to make sure that during the process of eliminating the conservatorship…”
The documentary itself, directed by Erin Lee Carr, will be available to stream on Tuesday, 28th September, which is just one day before Britney’s next scheduled court date on Wednesday, 29th September.
According to Variety, the documentary will centre on the conservatorship, and will feature a range of key figures currently in Britney’s circle. There is no word yet on whether Britney herself will actually appear to speak in the documentary, but it is highly unlikely.
It is looking as though the conservatorship which controls Britney’s life and finances will soon come to an end, with Britney’s father Jamie filing to terminate the conservatorship just a few weeks ago.
