A snippet of a new A$AP Rocky tune, tipped to be produced by Australia’s own Tame Impala, has materialised online.
The US rapper spent the weekend dropping sneaky previews of some of his new tracks on Snapchat and a 9-second clip of one of them has apparently been shared online by the Twitter account for music site Genius.
Alongside audio of the track and footage of a computer screen with the file name “A$AP ROCKY_PRETTY GUY PROD TAME IMPALA”, Genius have captioned the tweet: “is rocky about to hop on a tame impala beat?”
While it ain’t a lot to go on — and could easily be a total crock of BS — it’s definitely causing a strong reaction online, with plenty of fans already frothing with intrigue at the prospect of the collab:

While a musical team-up between the pair may seem a bit out-of-left-field, it’s important to note that Rocky’s been a fan of the Aussie psych-rockers for years, telling Faster Louder back in 2013 that he “wants to work with them”.
Meanwhile, Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker has been bolstering his producing CV of late with song credits including Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson and SZA.
So hey, maybe it could actually be legit?
Have a listen below and see what you reckon.
