Forster on the New South Wales mid north coast is set to host a brand new music festival called Grow Your Own, the creation of a bunch of former locals including muso Holly Rankin and the art director of clothing brand Mambo, Lee McConnell.
They’ve already locked down a pretty supreme lineup, with Angus Stone‘s new solo project Dope Lemon set to headline the bill. Stone will be joined by organiser Rankin’s latest project Jack River.
Rounding out the lineup are The Ruiins, Jake Meadows, James Bennett, Galleri, Los Scallywaggs and Vanilla Gorilla, all of whom hail from Forster or the Greater Lakes area.
“It’s pretty cool to have so much creative talent come out of the Forster area,” says organiser McConnell. “With Grow Your Own not only can we celebrate this and have fun together but also inspire the youth and those who are hiding their talents to go and have a crack.”
Grown Your Own will take place on Friday, 23rd December 2016. Catch the full lineup alongside ticket details, below.
